How our Sunset Experience led Coffs Coast & Bellingen Shire to the Top Travel Destinations for 2020

Updated: Jan 2

Unspoilt beaches, pristine estuaries, World Heritage Listed Gondwana Rainforest & majestic waterfalls.... Yes all of this in one region and a local multi award winning family run tour company to show you how it should all be done.

As we were getting set for a busy summer we received an email from Monica, World Editor of the #Yumlist - a gourmet & luxury travel site based in Malaysia who have a larger readership than the Malaysian national newspaper! Monica was looking for that unique experience that she could share with her global audience who trust her to find the most delicious & enjoyable experiences around the world!

We booked both Monica and her Mum Elaine onto our #SunsetExperience which begins with a relaxing coastal walk, getting up close and personal with countless Eastern Grey Kangaroos and breathtaking views of the coastline and Solitary Islands.

The paved path leads over the headland and onto beautiful Shelly Beach, where we encourage guests to kick off their shoes and connect with the earth - a grounding experience. As we follow the path back up the next headland, passing mums & their adorable Joeys (baby kangaroo) we arrive to a gourmet grazing board set up by Chelsea, co-owner / operator of #WavestoWildernessExperiences .

Usually Chelsea and I would leave the guests to enjoy the incredible views and locally sourced food & wine, but Monica & Elaine insist that we stay, so it would be rude if we were to leave. As always we have so much to share with our guests and Monica takes full advantage of our local knowledge as Chelsea being a huge foodie herself shares the best places to get coffee, source organic local produce, raw vegan & gluten free desserts and more!

By the next afternoon Monica & Elaine have already visited #Chocdaisy and other places Chelsea had recommended and booked onto our

#RainforestandWaterfallExperience which takes in the best places to visit through the #BellingenValley and #WaterfallWay .

From pristine beaches & abundant #AustralianWildlife we are now swimming under the 30 metre high waterfall of #DangarFalls and #hiking ancient #Gondwana rainforest. With delicious homemade food, catering for all dietaries & always served with a view, everyone has had an awesome day, but we like to finish it with a visit to our good friends at #RaleighWinery , Australia's most Eastern winery! Just like the #Yumlist we only like to work with the best and we love how the staff at Raleigh Winery always make our final stop a treat!

Monica and her team at the #Yumlist only work with the best, do you think the little family run business from the #CoffsCoast did ok?
